Exemption from the Conduct of Financial Institutions Regime
Marac is relying on the exemptions set out in the Financial Markets Conduct (Conduct of Financial Institutions — Marac Insurance Limited) Exemption Notice 2025 (Exemption Notice).
The Exemption Notice exempts Marac from compliance with the Conduct of Financial Institutions regime under the Financial Markets Conduct Act which comes into effect on 31 March 2025. The exemption is conditional on a number of conditions as set out in the Exemption Notice, including the requirement that Marac must ensure that any claim made, or complaint received from, a policyholder is handled in a manner that treats that policyholder fairly.
